Love and Other Drugs (2010)

I was really looking forward to this one. I'm a big fan of Hathaway and have a man crush on Gyllenhaal. Putting them together was a masterstroke in my eyes. Needless to say I loved the film. It's such a heartbreaking story but it tells it with such a charm and heart. I couldn't help but fall in love with this one.

The Godfather: Part II (1974)

I screened this almost immediately after part 1 and I wasn't disappointed. It's a lot slower than the first but that's becuase there is a lot more story and character development. What can I say? it's a great sequel to a masterpiece. Pacino wins this one by a mile too.

The Godfather (1972)

I've never placed so much expectancy on another film. This lives up to the hype in epic style. It pulled me in and never let go. A real class in how to make a film and tell a story. James Caan steals this film for me.

Chinatown (1974)

Yet another Polanski masterpiece. Jack Nicholson puts in a phenomenal performance and I was gripped from minute one. I'm kicking myself for putting it off all these years.

Gone Baby Gone (2007)

Superb story, brilliant acting and real marker laid down by Ben Affleck.
